Evil geniuses

I watched this weird movie with Renee last week about this girl who had this elaborate, manipulative plot to get herself on T.V. and screw over her friend who was dating her ex. We found out during the movie that this girl had an IQ off the charts. Her scheme was very evil, but since she was also a genius it got me to thinking about evil geniuses. I wonder if you are really smart, a true genius if you will, if you must also be evil. If you think about it, being super intelligent could get boring quickly when no one around you can keep up. So, to stir things up and get some mental stimulation, a genius needs an evil plot to work on. Also, bitterness from being different and lacking social companions most likely pushes geniuses over the edge. One evil genius we should all remember is Krang, the living brain from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

If I'm not mistaken, Krang had to escape his planet (because it was being attacked) and ended up on earth. Since he is just a brain, you can imagine how hard it was to find work. Well, he did work for a short time as a Wal-Mart greeter and as a mascot for Cinncinnati. However, no one at Wal-mart wanted to be greeted by him and many wedgie-related incidents caused Cinncinnati to decide that "Reds" sounded better than Cinncinnati Brains. We can't be too hard on Krang, though he caused the turtles much grief that made many a Saturday morning very exciting. Krang came from a divorced home (his dad ran off with the young, hot liver that lived next-door) and was a loner at school. Teased relentlessly, Krang suffered much emotional as well as physical trauma. A perfect score on the SATs is a hard trade-off for spending everyday in a locker. He was so brilliant, but misunderstood. Can we blame him for turning to evil to finally command some respect?

There are countless other evil geniuses like Krang who have been pushed to the limit and turn to evil to assert themselves. Darth Vader, the Riddler, Oscar the Grouch...all crying out for validation and a feeling of self worth. Now instead of laughing at them, people despise them. Being despised is better than being the village idiot. If you ask me, I think evil geniuses are the lonliest souls on the planet. Oh yes they are evil and want to conquer the world, but please try to empathize with their struggles. Though they wreak havoc on society relentlessly and without mercy, think of them going home at the end of the day to their lonely evil hideout and having no one to hold.

I is smart

I was wondering why lately I have felt sick after eating a turkey sandwich for lunch. I meditated on this while I got ready to make one for my lunch tomorrow. Then I looked at the mayo, and the expiration date was 2/17/06.

True confessions

I've been living a lie for the past week and a half, and it is time to come clean. Don't judge too harshly. There has been a man sleeping in my bed with me. This is the guy:

Thanks for letting me get that out. I feel much better now. Oh, here are some pics of my awesome pinata:

It didn't take long to blast the candy out of it. I'm sure we got an A on our presentation.
